We are currently in the process of enrolling our Son in ABA, but at the $70 an hour copay after we meet our $6,000 deductible we will never be able to afford the 30-40 hours a week recommended. How does the average person afford this?
We met our $3000 deductible by the first week of March due to the insane amount of doctors and therapy appointments we have. Once deductible is met, insurance pays at 90%. We are doing 25 hours per week of ABA therapy. That's $3000 a month but we only

Simple. We don't do ABA. Because it is prohibitively expensive.
Our insurance doesn't cover it. We'd be paying $100-125 an hour OOP; that is the rate range from a variety of providers I checked with and interviewed. I think we might have be
We pay a daily co-pay of $60 a day. We have a family deductible of $5000 but luckily for us, we don't have to meet the deductible. The co-pays are separate. My son gets 40 hrs a week which includes 6 hrs of social skills class. We pay $300 a week. That is

I don't know if this is helpful at all but I was an ABA therapist for 8 years. Ultimately, I ended up working with a school under Board Certified Behavior Analysts (one of the analysts is very well thought of and has an excellent reputation too). Each chi
I hate how ABA is treated so differently than other therapies in terms of how it is handled by insurance. My insurance fully covered OT without questions which for us wasn't nearly as effective as ABA. We were fully covered for ABA for about 10 months whe

Absolutely nothing.
My autism society chairperson recommended our ABA therapist to help me. She is only a student but she has been of great help for our family.
She puts in 2 hours a week with us. So for the whole month that is 8 hours.<br
