Period while BFing?

So I haven't produced any less milk, stopped pumping as much, if anything I'm purposefully pumping more and today I was surprised with AF? But then part of my AL brain says what if it was a m/c? I'm not on birth control and we weren't trying but there have been oops moments. All my m/c's have happened because of not being on baby aspirin, folic acid and progesterone. Has anyone got AF while BFing? Is it just my PAL mind thinking the worst?

Many women get AF while BFing--even if they are BFing every 5hrs or less.

I actually think it seems to be more odd to not get AF while BFing. I didn't until I started weaning.

I think there are lots of people who get their AF while breastfeeding, at least Ive heard from quite a few. My sister always got hers around 1012 weeks pp even though she EBF her kids.

I agree with PP's. PgAL brain sucks but it was most likely AF. I EBF and AF has already shown up once since having DD...and she eats every 1-3 hours during the day and only has 1 long stretch at night.

I got mine back around the same time as you. I was not expecting it. I kind of got spoiled not having AF while pregnant (although all that PP bleeding was enough blood to make up for all those missed periods!).

I got AF at 10w pp while BF and pumping. She reappeared every 4w after. Oh, and she always did a number on my supply, and I wasn't able to recover the entire supply each time, so my milk decreased each month.
