Flip flops at work

I have never felt comfortable wearing flip flops to work. My current office is very casual as in, two people in my department are wearing tshirts with Disney characters today but I know that flip flops in a professional environment is a pet peeve for some people.

Now that it's hot as Satan's armpit out there, I'm starting to get cankles.

Guess who has two thumbs and is officially ending her boycott. Thisguy!

    Yep same here. My shoes don't fit! It's not super casual where I work either. No one said anything to me. I think the massive swelling helped stave off any comments.

    I wore flip flops the other night when I walked the dog (because I was too lazy to try to tie tennis shoes).  I think that combined with the heat it made my cankles swell up worse.  ugh.  My shoes today look downright orthopedic.

    Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.
    Third Son - due June 9, 2018

    I'm actually in an office where we are expected to be in bus professional dress every day and today I wore flip flops anyway! And my feet aren't even swollen. I just decided I could wear whatever I wanted... After ten years, who is going to stop me? Says

    It snowed today....I am jealous of your flip flops. I wore snow boots to work.

    I don't love the cankles but I am excited to go get a new pair of sandals this weekend. Good excuse!

    For the past two days I've worn flip flops because of the nice weather, and swollen feet. Our construction office is really laid back though, we bring our dogs (a giant mastiff and a little dachshund) to work with us every day lol
