One & done: not by choice?

I typically post on PgAL and my current BMB and was a longtime active poster on TTCAL.  I'm currently pregnant at 14w6d, but yesterday I got my MaterniT21 results.  It showed positive for Trisomy 13.  My world came crashing down yesterday and I'm still reeling.  My OB got me squeezed in for an amnio today at 3:15. 

Sparing details, Trisomy 13 is severely fatal.  The amnio should confirm the Mat21 results and hopefully give us an idea of the severity.  We are hoping and praying for a miracle that the results are somehow false, but also preparing for the worst at the same time.  It's horrible. Sad 

We have a 3 1/2 year old DS that we absolutely adore and are beyond thankful for and we so badly wanted one more child for all of us.  I'm 36 and if this pregnancy isn't meant to be then we're most likely done trying.  This breaks my heart to even type.  I also had a missed m/c and a second m/c which turned out to be a blighted ovum.  This pregnancy brought me this far and I've seen the heartbeat three different times.  We're just in utter shock.  I guess I'm looking for words of wisdom, experiences etc that you might be able to offer.  Thanks so much ladies.

    While I can't personally relate, I wanted to say how very sorry I am for you.. and give you a million hugs.  I'm really sorry to hear things aren't going as expected and healthy, and I'll keep all my fingers crossed that a miracle happens for you

    I am so sorry you are going through this. You and your family are in my thoughts a prayers.

    My first pregnancy ended in stillbirth (Ian), the next 3 ended in m/c. My DS (Jacob) was born when I was 42. I understand not wanting to try anymore

    Hi, QuigleyCat, I remember you from my time on TTCAL. I am so sorry that you and your baby are going through this. I lurk on PGAL and saw that you had an amnio today.

    Married 4/12/08 DS born 11/17/2009 via c-section at 39 weeks. 11/12/2011 BFP #2!! m/c 7w5d. 2/28/2012 BFP #3 Beta #1-12dpo = 18; Beta #2-16dpo = 185; Beta #3-18dpo = 505. EDD 11/10/2012. Ectopic discovered at 5w4d. D&C followed by methotrexate.

    6 failed clomid/femara/TI cycles, 1 failed clomid/ovidrel/IUI cycle
    Successful Cycle: 5/12/11 - 1000mg Metformin + 100mg Clomid(late response) + TI = BFP

    Just wanted to give you a little hope today....

    early testing for a friend of mine 's baby came back indicating the possibility of Trisomy 13. Follow up amnio results were fine and a perfectly healthy baby boy was born this February. I hope this
