Would you transfer 3?

Our embryologist didn't sound too hopeful today when he told us 3 day transfer tomorrow. From the phone call this morning we are working with 3  2 celled embryos - all have fragmentation and one is doing less than great.

We always wanted a family with 4 kids.  This is our 2nd IVF.  I'm 27, DH is 34 (sperm issues)  we only retrieved 5 eggs this time, and honestly I can only go through this 4 times.

Me 27 DH 33 dx MFI
1st cycle of IVF w/ ICSI = started bcp's 8/2/12, lupron 8/22/12, stims 9/7/12,ER 9.20.12 ET 9/23/12 3dt 1 6A and 1 4B; Positive HPT 10/2/12, BFP Beta 10/3/12: 38!, 2nd Beta 10/5/12 28 :( worst phone call ever. 3rd beta 10/9/10 2.9...
IVF #2 w/ ICSI = bcp 3/1, ER/ET planned for the week of 4/8

    I hope you don't mind me responding...

    I would definitely put all 3 back sweets.  We had poor embryo quality with IVF #1 and, therefore, put 3 back.

    I am so sorry that things don't seem to be going your way.  I hope you get a bett

    I transferred 3 last time, one blast and 2-8 cells that didn't look so great.
    Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
    10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
    11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
    12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
    6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
    IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
    IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
    IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
    IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
    10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
    Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015

    IVF (BCPs starting 10/30/12, ER 11/18/12, 5dt of 1 beautiful, healthy embryo 11/23/12)
    BFP 12/02/12, u/s @ 6w,5d showed 2 HBs! Identical twins!!
    Bed rest from 21w-35w due to short cervix, hospital bed rest from 23w-32w due to PTL
    Our rainbows were born 07/19/13 (36w, 5d)

    I might transfer three, if the embryologist/RE recommends it, especially. We've been conservative about the number of embryos transferred in our cycles, but my feeling is that the experts often can advise when it's right to go for more.

    We've transferred 3 during one of our cycles - all good looking 8-cells and still did not end up pregnant.  I wouldn't transfer 3 blasts though.

    I'm usually pretty conservative on the number to transfer but I would consider 3 in your situation if there are quality concerns tomorrow. Wait and see how things are looking tomorrow and see what the embryologist recommends, too. Good luck!

    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
    4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!

    I would definitely put back all 3 in this situation, knowing they are not the greatest quality. I know it's a tough decision though. 

     Just curious... have you had the dna fragmentation test done on your DH's sperm? That might give you

     Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p,  New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS  4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!

    I would definitely put back 3.  I actually put back 4 one time and did get pregnant with 1 but had an early m/c.  Good luck!

    11/13 beta #1  924!!!  2nd bet 11/15 1906, one more on 11/17 3rd & final beta 3430.  First u/s 12/5, 7w4d, 2 heartbeats,
    both measuring right on track....2nd u/s... all is well... both beans measuring right on track... released from RE... first
    appointment with MFM 1/5.  Looks like this is really happening!

    I would transfer all three.  This is a very honest answer because we had four embryos and had decided that if we got there on transfer day and had lost one we were doing all three.   Good luck!!!!!

    Such a hard decision.... If they wouldn't freeze just the one I would definitely put the 3 in. Go with what your heart tells you! Good luck!
    TTC 2 years- Me and DH (28) with (severely) low sperm count- less than 40 total (last 2 SA showed only 5 and 6 sperm each)
    IVF #1: ER 1/23/13- 4 eggs retrieved, 3 eggs fertilized; ET with 1 embryo 1/28/13 2 frosties beta #1 2/5 was 4.8- beta #2 2/7 3.5; BFN
    FET #1- transferred one beautiful 4AA embie. Praying this is my take home baby. Beta 5/7/13- BFFN!!!
    IVF #2: ER 7/17/13: 6R/3F- transferred 1 blast and 1 10 cell embryo 5dt.   Beta hell.  #1 2.5, #2 2.2- BFFFN! REALLY?
    IVF #3: ER 12/1 and only 2 retrieved.  1 fertilized with ICSI.  Was planning on transferring one fresh and one frozen....fresh was only 14 cells at day 5...CANCELLED and devastated due to 5cm blood filled cyst in ovary and blood in uterus.
    IVF #4: Antagonist protocol with endometrial scratch day one of stims.  ER 4/21: 6R/4M/3F- transferred 2 beautiful blasts (5dt) and one was hatching!  No frosties but hoping we won't need it!  Beta 5/4/14- 444(8dp5dt), Beta #2 10dp5dt 1002!  THIS HAS GOT TO BE IT!!!!!!!!!!  First US 5/15 we saw two of the most beautiful gestational and yolk sacs I have ever seen!  
    ****FINALLY PREGNANT WITH DI/DI TWINS!!!!!!!  

    BRINLEY AND RILEY LONG.  Born November 20, 2014 at 32 wks 3 days.  4lbs7oz and 4lbs5oz.  1 month NICU time for "B's" and growing and feeding.  Now healthy, thriving, beautiful little girls!

    Well we defrosted 3.  2 were 4 cells and 1 was a 3 cell day 2s.  After thaw  on day 3 we lost the 3 cell, and the 2 others were a 6 cell and a 7 cell.  So I am glad we went after 3.  Of the three I hoped for an 8 cell but not much

    Everyone has given you great advice!

     

    Our first round we had only 3 on the morning of day 3.... two 4 cells and one 6 cell.  Our RE recommended putting all 3 in due to the poor quality.  It was scary, but we went for it....l
