I got a set of steroid shots last weekend to help develop the babies lungs in case they arrive early. I had my 1-hour glucose test 3 days later (this week) and failed. I just started uncovering others out there who have elevated glucose levels after the shots. Has this happened to anyone else here?? Or heard of this??
My 3-hour glucose test is next Monday, but now I'm wondering if I should reschedule to allow more time for any side effects of the shots to wear off.

I am type 1 and had steroid shots at 32 weeks. My numbers went sky high. The doctors told me even non-diabetics can spike after the shots.
I would redo the test in a couple days. They said typically it takes 48 hours after last shot f
They goofed. You are not supposed to do a glucose test within 7 days of steroids. Can totally affect your result.
Great input, thanks ladies! The goof could be because my MFM gave me the shots, and I did the 1 hour glucose test at my regular OB. I'm guessing my regular OB just didn't catch that, and I never thought to ask because I didn't know.
