Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Need Some New & Fun Ideas

Hi All,

My son is 19 months and we have hit a dreadful "bored" phase. I try to get him involved in many different activities throughout the day from coloring, to other crafts, puzzles, blocks, trucks, etc. We live in Alaska and it is still too cold to go outside. Not to mention there is still about 3 1/2 feet of snow on the ground too!

I need some new ideas of what to do with him to spike his interest. He is getting fussy and cranky and turns away from toys. I know he's bored but need to help get him out of this funk!

Thanks!!

  • We're also bored to tears here. Our snow is gone, thankfully, but it's rainy and cold and it's just the winter that will.not.end. We also don't leave the house during the week as I do child care. I've been trying hard to get creative and think outside

  • These ideas sound wonderful!! Thanks ladies.

I will definitly be trying some of these. We do have an indoor playground and we often go there after dinner to get out some built up energy. My husband and I share a car too so that makes it a little
