Our pedi said we could start slowly mixing some whole cow's milk into the formula. Anyone else heard this? I've read that they should only have formula until their first birthday.
We were told to Wait on that until one, even though his blood work came back right on track. He can have everything else but that and honey.

We were told to wait until 13 months to start mixing because he was a late term preemie and is still below the 5th percentile. I'm weighing options between cows milk, organic cows milk, soy, or almond milk. I'm not totally sure what we're going to go with

I'll start mixing next month so that the pedi and I can discuss how he is doing with it at his 12 month appt. He won't be getting "store" milk though. He'll start with a pasteurized unhomogenized milk. Then when he's between 18 and 24 months we'll start
I don't ever mix the two and I do not put whole milk in a bottle. I have already started switching ds3 to sippies with formula for lunch and dinner. Then I'll take away the morning bottle and replace it with a sippy at breakfast. Last I do the bottle at b
I don't mix them, but I have let DS have a little bit here and there. It won't become "practice" until we get to 11 months, then he will get it more regularly. We will probably go organic for his milk when he is having it regularly.

I would wait until around 11 months, until their tummies are a little stronger and they are eating food more regularly.
