STM's - Nursing Attire? (Destination Mat. Sale!)

I was looking at nursing items at Destination Maternity (20% off today + nursing is buy 3 get the 4th free), but I have no idea what's practical or useful!

What worked for you guys... Nursing bras, tanks, shirts? All of the above?

Are nursing pj's helpful? They have some new Jessica Simpson ones that are so pretty but over priced of course!

They have a couple nursing covers that look more like shirts (poncho/wrap sweater), which I think I like better than the obvious cover.

 What are your thoughts?

  • Destination Maternity tanks didn't really work for me because I have bigger boobs and the coverage wasn't great.  I LOVED Target nursing tanks.  I lived in them the entire time I nursed DS (15 months).  I didn't really have any othe

  • I pretty much lived in nursing tanks and loose tops. I never bought official nursing tops, just pulled my shirt up, because the tank covered my stomach anyways. I only did the tanks, no nursing bras, because I knew I'd always want my stomach covered. I al

  • Nursing tanks, nursing tanks, nursing tanks! I seriously lived in those, I had one in every color. I just layered them under my regular shirts. I liked MM and Target. I also liked the MM cotton nursing bras without underwire, but I wouldn't buy any until

  • I also lived in nursing tanks, because I liked having the extra coverage of the tank top.  I had some cheapie ones from Target that I wore in the hospital and also wore to bed.  For regular use, I loved the Glamour Mom ones (keep an eye on Ba

  • Nursing tanks are awesome and so are bras, but I wouldn't buy too many of those now because you could be a full cup size or more bigger once your milk comes in.   I never used nursing tops, but I mostly pumped so they were just a PIA.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • I didn't like nursing tanks myself. Too much hassle. I just wore target's long and lean tops and pulled the whole thing down to nurse. Of course, I have small boobs that only ever really got to a full B so that probably influenced my choice. But I founds

I used both bras and tanks. I liked the tanks because they kept my stomach covered while nursing. I wore the bras when I wanted a little more support. They also kept the nursing pads in place better during the first few months of leaking (even with the

  • I used the nursing tanks by and large. You can keep wearing them after the fact. The only thing is to consider your boob size. I have a small chest so the tanks that have a shelf bra worked for me, and I was comfortable nursing in public in these in pa

  • I also hated the nursing bras I bought. I used nursing tanks without a bra with nursing pads for a looooooong time! I plan on getting about 4 this time around!
  • I only got nursing bras that were comfortable. I never bothered with special shirts or PJs. I just lift up my tshirt to nurse, no biggie.  If it was chilly, I usually would grab a sweater hanging in my room to wear.

I lived in nursing tanks for a long time and would wear either a cardigan or low cut stretchy shirt over it. After about 9 months when she wasn't nursing as often, I would wear a nursing bra and a shirt that could be easily manipulated.
