Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Sitting up

DD is still not sitting up on her own- I have been working practicing with her but she only lasts a few seconds before falling over.  I am seeing pics of other LO's younger sitting up on their own & am a little concerned.

Re: Sitting up

  • I think that's perfectly normal for 6 months.  I think my LO was sitting unassisted around 7 months.  I don't think you have anything to be concerned about.  You have to remember that there is a very wide range for developmental milestones

  • My DS went from falling over all the time to sitting unassisted in about a week. I had been working on it with him for a while and it seems like he just all of a sudden "decided" to try. Also, he refuses to roll from front to back but has no problem going
