Success after IF

discouraged...

Hi ladies,

I planned on starting IUI #3 cycle this week, first with injectibles. However I went in yesterday for ultrasound and bloodwork and they found two cysts, that were too large for me to start meds with. I do not have PCOS. We just changed RE and my previous RE never said anything about cysts so this is completely new to me. I'm now on BCP for three weeks and then going back in for ultrasound and bloodwork. Does anyone have a similar experience? How long did it take for the cysts to go away? Is it likely that I will be able to move forward with injectibles and IUI after the three weeks of BCP?

 Thanks in advance!

  • I don't have personal experience, but it is common to develop cysts if you are on Clomid. Usually a round of BCP does the trick and you can go ahead and cycle once they are gone. Sometimes it can take longer for a cyst to go away if it is large. It is goo

  • That happened to me several times. It sucks. Mine were always gone within 3 weeks, even when they were pretty significant size wise. I would cycle as soon as they were gone.
  • I had cysts from clomid. I don't have PCOS. I did one round of bcp and did IVF the next cycle. Bcp will usually clear up cysts pretty quickly. Good luck with your IUI.

  • I do not have PCOS but developed a cyst on my 3rd clomid cycle. It should have gone away with BCP's but did not and I had to have it aspirated. Good luck.

  • I have been there. I am so sorry. I think my cyst came from a follicle that swelled after ovulation. I was prepping for a frozen cycle, so they continued me on bcp and the lupron. It took a few weeks, and we had to cancel my cycle, but it was a huge estro

  • Ok so same exact scenario three years ago and now I have M. I was going in for monitoring for IUI three and there was a cyst. I was pissed and thought I was out that cycle. Then after 2 weeks of BCP they brought me back in, cyst was gone, and we resumed t
