I have United HealthcareUMR and they do cover a breast pump. They told me I get throufh Durable Medical Supplies and when you look them up under medical providers you can find places in your area that you can get it through.
I have United, and it is 100% covered after 4/1, but you have to have HAD the baby already. Every plan / employer will have different coverage and dates though (my 4/1 date is because that is when my annual benefits renew -- there was no benefit for breast pumps prior to this new benefit year).
You can call and put in your order, however, they won't start processing the order until the baby's due date. Once that day hits - it's 10 business days until you receive it.. I just placed my order through UHC last week... but Baby's due date is 4/1 so... I'll have to wait until then for the processing to even begin
Here is the site for United with the details. This is a healthcare reform requirement- but it depends on when your plan renews- it doesn't have to be covered until renewal of you employer.

Really... I don't get them making you wait till baby is born. Like your lying and looking for a free pump?! That's lame.

I'm sure a lot of women actually do! Just like some sell formula from WIC.
I have united and the first day in the hospital I called them. My Medela double electric pump was covered 100 percent and the hospital wrote a prescription and the hospital delivered it to me within the next hour.
Hi, I just got my hospital grade S2 breast pump free with Cigna and my friend got a Spectra Dew hospital grade pump from aetna. Yep! A free hospital grade pump! I think all insurances haveto give them out. Ask yours for the spectra S2 hospital grade pump. It is incredible! Works better than the Medela Symphony I rented. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the info!
I know.. that was my thought. But if baby isn't born yet - they will still process as of the DATE that you're due.
