Subchorionic hematoma/hemorrhage?

Hi All,

I posted about a week ago about having some spotting.  My betas and progesterone were fine, and today we finally got to go in for my first ultrasound.  We were thrilled to see a healthy baby with a good heartbeat.  I was also diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma as the cause of my spotting.  We don't have our actual appointment with the doctor for another two weeks, so I wanted to see what recommendations doctors have made for others in the same boat.  It seems that pelvic rest is pretty universal, and while the nurse said I could do some light exercise, most things I'm finding online say not to, so I probably won't hit the gym until I see my doc just to be safe.

Any info would be appreciated!

  • I went to the ER last week and was diagnosed with the same thing.  I was told pelvic rest and no "heavy" lifting (this included heavy groceries and vacuuming).  I had another appointment and ultrasound yesterday.  Everything checked out oka

  • I had that with my 3rd baby. The doctor said pelvic rest and no heavy lifting. Glad to hear baby is doing well!!
  • I had one with my last pregnancy and was on bedrest for about a week at 14 weeks. It ended up dissolving, but I still bled my entire pregnancy.

I would definitely take it easy.

  • My Dr said pelvic rest and when I went back for my follow up apt I asked about exercise she suggested I refrain from that and heavy lifting. (My sch increased in size between visits so not sure if that why or not).

  • Received same diagnosis today. Pelvic rest and no strenuous exercising were advised. Had a small one last pregnancy as well which dissolved relatively quickly so I'm not worried.
