Did you get Steroid Shots? How far along were you?

I had read that some MoM's get them to help develop the babies' lungs, but I was caught off guard at my appointment this week when my OB suggested I get it done that day (with DH giving me the second dose at home last night). I just went with the flow without really researching it too much before hand. This all seems to be happening really fast (I'm almost 27wks for mobile users) and yet it still feels like I have a long way to go

Have any thoughts or perspectives on them?

I had the shots at 32w1d and 32w2d but I had been admitted to the hospital with pre-ecclampsia so it was expected I might deliver early.

The steroid shots are only Cortisone - that's what mine were anyway. I didn't have any side effects and

I had them at 28 weeks. I started having regular contractions and my cervix started shortening, so my MFM believed I was going into PTL. My guys came at 34w6d so there was no need for a second round. They had some NICU time, but for other issues.
