So scary! still shaking!

I've never been so scared as I was today when this black honda passport creeped up my dead end road where only family lives at 3:00 pm. Turns around at the dead end, and then pulls in my driveway after I see this guy and girl scoping out the place...Ethan's in his high chair, and I run and get my shot gun. Someone knocks on the door, and I barely open it and this 6'5 300 lber with jail tattoos everywhere is standing there geeking out. He's also left the car running and his door open. He asks if the car is for sale behind our house ?what? I tell him it's the neighbors', and that they are at work right down the road. He asks if he can just have the number instead, and I start to tell him, but he wants me to write it down instead.. I close the door behind me and lock it, write down the number and brace myself because I honestly thought I was going to have to shoot him.... Long story short... I think they thought no one was home since one vehicle is at work with H and the other in the shop. The whole thing was so weird and scary !My adrenaline is still pumping, and I believe they were up to no good. I won't be able to sleep now because I'm afraid they are going to come back because my H has so much steal-worthy stuff under our carport. I believe both of our German Shepherds will be sleeping inside or on the front porch for a while.

  • That is scary! I would totally call and report the car and see if a cop can drive through your area for a few times tonight to make sure everything is ok!

  • Whoa!! That is scary! I hope they don't come back. I agree with the others about calling the police and having them monitor the area in case they come back.

  • I second (third, fourth?) calling the police and asking them to keep an eye on your neighborhood for a while. The police in my town are great about that sort of thing.

Honestly, I would have been calling my hubs and telling him to get home NOW

  • Scary!  I yell "No thank you" through the door.  People leave eventually.

The police told me after someone tried to break into our house to always let people know you are there.  That often one person rings the bell,

  • Scary! The builders of our place messed up (we rent)- I am 5'4" and I can't see out of our peep hole- it is above my head- and you can't see the front porch from the windows either, so I have to answer the door to see who's there <img src="https://communit
