C - tear duct procedure

Some might remember that I asked a few months ago about the tear duct procedure because C still has one that doesn't drain. We met with the ophthalmologist last week and C is scheduled for the procedure tomorrow morning. He thinks he still has some congenital scar tissue in the duct so that will be removed. C's been complaining about his eye hurting all week (pollen is bad here now) so I'm sure this procedure is coming just in time. He does need to be put to sleep but it sounds quite similar to his ear tube insertion (very easy). Thank you all for the advice you gave and I'll update tomorrow on him!

Good luck with the surgery! It sounds like its going to help him a lot. I have terrible hay fever, and my eyes are miserable even with functioning tear ducts. I hope everything turns out wonderful!

I'm sure he'll be so happy when it no longer bothers him! I actually just recently had a clogged tear duct and had to have a probe go in and flush it out. Pretty freaky but painless. Hopefully his is equally easy
