Pregnant after 35

Wardrobe Woes

I only go into the office once or twice a week and I haven't told anyone there yet (besides my immediate boss).  My clothes have been getting snug around the middle, so I pulled out a full skirted shirt dress that has always been good about hiding an extra bit of fluff around the middle in the past.  I ironed it, lint rollered it, then went to put it on.  Every button closed - except the two over my belly.  My husband came in while I was looking down at my exposed belly.  Couldn't stop laughing.  So pitiful.  I finally bit the bullet and ordered some maternity skirts just now.  My RE warned me that I would show earlier than a singleton pregnancy, but I just didn't think it would happen already.  :)

  • Well first, congrats on your two little ones!  I'm only having a singleton but still started wearing maternity pants by week 12...still don't have much of a bump but would rather be obviously showing since I think people look at me and think I'm just

  • I used the hair elastic through my pants' button hole trick for a while, then graduated to the belly band type things until the bloat/belly was too big (around 12-14 weeks) and I had to go to more maternity clothes. But honestly, I was wearing maternity j

  • I was definitely showing at 9 weeks also, not a lot but enough to need clothes with more stretch.  I remember pigging out on pizza (I was at the point when I was starving all the time), and I was so uncomfortable and BIG by the end of the meal.

  • I tried on several pairs of maternity pants, but finally settled on low cut elastic waist pants. This works great for me. The pant waist band is always below my belly over the pelvic bone. So no material touches my pr
