March 2013 Moms

How is everyone doing?

So I am assuming that all the march mama's have had their babies, and I'm just wondering how everyone is adjusting? It's been almost 6 weeks and I think I'm finally getting into the swing of things. I still spend most of the day in the my underwear or PJ's and a nursing tank with my hair on top of my head, but I think Jack and I are starting to get into a routine!  At first it was really hard and nobody prepared me for the lack of sleep! (I've always loved my sleep!) and the torture of a pump!  I also still haven't mastered showering without DH being home.. who ever would have thought that I would consider showering "me" time lol.  I think I'm going to start looking for mommy and me groups to join so I can get out of the house... has anyone joined/looked into joining any certain ones?

  • I'm doing pretty good. We are definitely getting into a groove. It sucks though because I woke up this morning to a 102.2 degree fever and have a kidney infection. I've been having back pain on one side, but have been chalking it up to carrying LO all the

  • We're adjusting pretty well!  We're slowly falling into something that resembles a schedule; we're doing a very loosely based E.A.S.Y schedule, based on doctor recommendations and what seems to work with my LO, and while going out seems to throw u

  • Never in my life have I been so happy that insomnia throughout my life has paid off positively for me. I am used to functioning fully on a few hours sleep a day for weeks on end, it doesn't mean I like it very much, but I am on auto pilot right now. It

  • I'm glad you posted this!  Looks like we're all feeling about the same!  It's definitely defining a new "normal".  It's bad when you look forward to 3:00 when Ellen is on or you start watching 16 and Pregnant!!!  As much as I should

  • I feel pretty adjusted already at 3 weeks PP. I have an older DS so I've been through this before :)

I set my alarm in the am to get up and shower before older DS wakes up. Showering, getting dressed and putting on some make up every day he

  • Ummm am I the only one without a routine?! My lo is almost 6 weeks and will not sleep for an extended amount of time anywhere but in my arms or in the bed with me. She has increased to maybe 90 minute stretches of sleep during the night, and there have be

  • The first two to three weeks were really tough. I was a hormonal basketcase. Now things are leveling out. We dont have a schedule, as LO is EBF and cluster feeds at least once or twice a day. She is starting to sleep more at night and wakes about twice to

  • One week, three days old today (EDD 3/28, arrival 4/1) and I have gotten my first decent night of sleep last night. Decent meaning more than 3 consecutive hours per stretch. Feels great! I'm pretty sure we've surpassed birth weight but will know for su

  • Things are getting easier for the most part here too, although we definitely have our rough moments still, like when LO has "witching hour" some days. We kind of have a loose routine (wake around 9am, active time with a few shorts naps sprinkled in, lo

  • Dd 3.5 weeks old. We're doing good. She naps like a champ in the morning and day time 2 hour stretches. It makes showering and errands pretty easy. Which is a blessing because dh just got a new job and is working a ton. We've gone grocery shopping, to T
