Preschool IEP question

If they approve DS1 for 5 mornings a week can I ask that for the summer program he only attend 3 days/week and once the regular session starts he can go 5 days/week?

  • I think it is worth talking to them about why you want him to only go 5 days a week. 5 days might be ideal educationally for him in theory, however if that type of separation is new for him, starting off at a slower place and only doing 3 days (

    If they offer 5 days, it because they deem him to require 5 days to meet his goals. You say no

  • I might ask, but at the same time, I'd be willing to be flexible. And I also personally would take all the classroom time I could get. :P

  • every child is different and you're going to decide whatever is best in your situation but IMHO, I wouldn't.  I was of the same mind as you that they're babies and deserve to enjoy that time, but even so, when Chris was 2 yrs 27 days old I put him

  • My son is 3 1/2 and he just started the full day autistic program 3 weeks ago he goes from 8:40-1:40 5 days a week.   I thought it was going to be too much for him especially since they don't take naps but, I am so amazed at the difference alrea
    10/17/2009 - Our Miracle came 10 weeks early. IF,2 MC and 1 Preemie we have our miracle.. Baby Hope 10 weeks 5days was taken from us on Dec 18, 2007. Forever with us and Forever missed. Triplets Lost baby A @ weeks, Lost Baby B at 6 weeks and lost baby Abigail at 14 weeks when she was born to little for this life..... Forever with us ....
