NBR: Carpet

We are recarpeting our upstairs.  This is a townhome we hope to turn into a rental when we decide to move.  So going hardwood is not an option.

Any tips on buying carpet?  Things to look for?

Has anyone used Empire Carpet?  They are advertising $99 a room which probably means the quality isn't great, but if they have good pricing I might call them to come quote.

  • From what I understand berber is the most industrious. I know that it's not the greatest for pet's nails but can handle the most wear and tear. I know that it has come a long way and you can get nice colors or repetitive patterns now.
