When did/does your dr start internal checks?

I get one at my next appointment--36 weeks. Then, I don't get another one until 40 weeks, when I'm in labor or when I request one.

At my last appointment my doctor joked that it was my last appointment where I got to keep my clothes on as we'll be starting internal checks next time (next appointment is Monday and I'll be 35 weeks)

I had one last week at my 36 week appointment, but I'm not sure if she only did it because she was down there and I had my pants off already for the GBS test, I go again today so I'll see if she checks again.

Mine checked last week at 36 wks, and then today at 37 wks she asked if I wanted to be checked. I told her no I was good not knowing.

I was offered an internal check at 35 weeks and turned it down. I accepted an internal check at 36 weeks but opted to not have one yesterday at my 37 week appointment.

My MW gave me the option to check this week, at 36 weeks, but said it was up to me until my 38 week appt. From there on out she'll check weekly.

My doc said they don't do them in the practice. She said they are uncomfortable and don't give good info anyway, as you could be 3 cm dilated for weeks, or be closed up tight and go into labor that night. So they just forgo them.

With DD, my doc asked if I wanted to be checked at 37 weeks. I said no thanks since I didn't want the results to sway my mentality. But the following week I had a random doctor just jump on in and check. I think this time around, I'd be comfortable at 36

I went yesterday for my 34 week appointment and she said that the checks would start when I come back in two weeks for my 36 week appointment. I would get one every week until I deliver.

Never, unless I wanted one guess. It really doesn't give you good info unless you're in labor and increases the risk of infection. It basically says a baby will come out of you some how in the next few weeks. Also, I hope everyone knows
