Hey everyone! I'm brand new to this board and a first-time mom, due in December. I regularly work out really hard 5/6 days a week- have run several marathons and usually take a few really tough Athletic Conditioning classes a week, in addition to running, cycling and yoga...
I know you are advised to continue working out, if your body is used to it, but I'm not sure what the constraints are, mostly regarding the Athletic Conditioning classes. These involve sprints, burpees, jumping, weight lifting, etc.
Of course the health of my baby comes first and I don't want to jeopardize anything so early (I'm 5.5 weeks)... thoughts/suggestions?? THANKS!

You prob. need to just call your OB and ask. Most likely what you are used to is fine however I have heard some restrictions on ab work.

This is something I would discuss with your doctor or NP.
As a general guideline my OB said last time to avoid becoming overheated while exercising and watch your heart rate, but I don't remember what she said to keep it under.

Thanks guys! I asked the nurse over the phone yesterday and she just said to "tone it down" so to me instead of running a Half this weekend, I'll do the 10k instead, at an easy pace. Just wasn't sure what the consensus was for jumping or intervals (sin
