Ok I know I'll be flamed by many but I have decided to use the Ferber method on my DD. Naps consist of trying to get her to sleep for 30 minutes and then she sleeps maybe 30 minutes and wakes mad. I can't rock her without her screaming. For naps and bedtime or MOTN the only way she will callm down and fall asleep is marching her around the room while shhhing. I physically can't do this anymore multiple times a day..I give up as she's gotten bigger.
So those that have used Ferber method, how long did you wait for naps? Same as night? What did you do when you went in during the 1-2 minutes?
Any other tips? Thanks in advance
Re: Those who have used Ferber method..
I don't know how old your DD is, with my oldest we started Ferber around 8-9 months & he was STTN (finally!) around 1 year. I wish I started sooner & this time I'm planning to start sleep training around 6 months.

Thank you very much for all your input! DD is 4 1/2 months. I start back to work next month and really want her sleeping better and able to soothe herself before starting daycare. I wouldn't mind if I could snuggle and rock her to sleep, but as I
I am on night 3 of the sleepsense program. As far as I know its the same idea as Ferber. Let baby cry, going in the room in intervals...
At the beginning of the night we put down awake, she cries and I go in every 5 mins to "shhhhh" and pat her.
