I gave Reece a bottle last night....

And I feel really weird about it for some reason. I give him 1 bottle at night before bed, it's our alone/story time and I won?t cut that one out for a while. He has been STTN for months. Last night he was inconsolable, he woke up at 4:30 screaming/crying. I tried everything without having to feed him, but it was the only thing that settled him. He was still whining when I put him down and kept whining for an hour after. He finally zonked out at 5:30am and DH had to wake him up at 8:30am. I was going to give him Tylenol but didn't. I am thinking it was his teeth, but he doesn't seem to really be teething. He had tubes a couple weeks ago and doesn't seem to have any ear issues, so maybe he was just hungry? So weird. Is it bad that I gave him a bottle? Should I have just let him CIO? It just didn't seem like him, so I got up and cuddled and fed him. I thought we were passed all this!!

  • I don't think it's bad at all.  Personally, if a bottle will settle my child down from teething pain I prefer to give them that over Tylenol.  If he was that upset I don't think you should have let him CIO.  If he consistently STTN, he o

  • Funny, my kid was up at 4:30 too! I just gave him his paci (we cut them out weeks ago then he got sick so I gave them back to him for sleep only). I think he's got an allergy, cold thing going on. Hopefully it was just a fluke thing.

  • I would've done the same thing. But DD gets 2 bottles a day at home anyway. She drinks out of a sippy at school and during the day on weekends, but her first morning milk is in a bottle, as is her last one (if she doesn't drink any with dinner).

  • L was up at 4:30 also-but his was due to a poop explosion.  After a whole new outfit, diaper, and some boob-he finally went back to sleep.  If Landon wakes up at night, he won't go back down unless I nurse him.  Thankfully, he STTN most nig
