Help! Potty Training Son!

Please Help! Need Advice and Encourgement! DH and I are trying to potty train our 2yr old son. We have only been at it for 3 days. He has not gone in the potty yet, just accidents in the house and the yard. We put diapers on him at night and when he woke up this morning, he had take. His diaper off. So part of me is hopeful, but still no 1 or 2 in the potty. How long does it usually take?

    I wouldnt push him. Just set him on the potty every 30 min and make it fun. If hes not ready its better to just wait because if you push him it will take longer. Good luck!

    Does he understand peeing in the potty? Has he watched you or DH do it or has he ever done it?

    We started potty training last weekend. We locked DS in the living room and he ran around pants-less for three days. He peed on the floor once. We said

    It took my son 2.5 days to fully train.  If he's not having any successes at all he's likely just not ready to train yet. I'd go back to diapers and try again in a few months.

    We tried a few months ago with DS & he was peeing all over the place. 3 times in 30 mins. So we stopped b/c he wasn't even holding it. Now he is  holding it for long periods of time so we are trying again!
