going cold turkey with the pacifier?

Good morning ladies. I am mostly a lurker these days as I spend most of my time on August 13 prepping for LO #2 but I wanted to ask you ladies a question about pacifiers because our LO's are around the same age. DS is 20 months old and admittedly we have waited too long to take away his pacifier. He only has it at night in his crib but I have been resisting taking it away because he sleeps 14 hours per night. Any tips/tricks on getting rid of it? We plan to go cold turkey and not look back.  Any advice is much appreciated, thanks!

He's only getting the paci for naps and bedtime.  I do carry one for in case he has a meltdown in public, which I'm trying to stear away from using it then.

I sent her to my mom's for a night, I figured the excitement and change of atmosphere would help. While she was away, we threw all the binks here at our house away so that she wouldn't find any.

  • We went cold turkey.  I woke up one morning and decided I was going to take it away and I did.  I did a little Bump search (via google) to look for some suggestions for getting rid of it, and most people said they just took it away and it wasn't
