Diaper Bag- Childcare

STM or organized FTM- help me

So I started back to work this week and I can't even touch on the emotional side of that yet. I do, however need advise on my diaper bag. Currently I use a 31 bag that I just love, the design is adorable. BUT it is overflowing and I don't quite know how to slim down. In my bag I keep: Changing pad and wipes (small travel), small diaper cream, 10 diapers, 5 bottles, 3 travel containers of formula measured at different amounts, a gallon ziplock with an extra outfit, a gallon ziplock with her outfit for the day (daycare changes her), a folder that has her daycare logs, her burp rag, her swaddle for naps, and some empty plastic bags for wet clothes or diapers.

At daycare we keep: diapers and wipes.

Where can I slim this down? Do people send the bottles and formula in a separate bag? Do I send her clothes separate? I think I will ask the daycare provider to hold onto her swaddle through the week because we have more at home. As for the diaper and wipes, we don't go straight home after pick up so I need to use those (probably not 10 though).

Any tips?

  • Wow.

That is a lot to deal with every day. Would your daycare be willing to keep more of that during the week? This is what I bring to daycare:

  • We leave diapers and wipes at daycare, so if I'm just going back and forth, I don't take diapers. We also leave 2 changes of clothes, formula, a bottle, and bibs/a blanket at daycare and they send it home as necessary or on Fridays to be washed.
  • Daily I bring: bottles, pacifier, and swaddle.

A generous supply of the following is kept at daycare and replenished as needed: diapers, wipes, clothes, bibs, and formula.

  • I don't bring a diaper bag to daycare. He has a cubby at daycare so in his cubby he keeps his change of clothes, extra paci, extra socks. He has his blankie in his crib at daycare and it stays there. I'll bring it home to wash once in awhile. I pump so

Every Monday I bring a tote bag with bottles, formula, crib sheet, swaddle and extra clothes.  Every day when I pick him up they give me the used bottles (as soon as I get home I put the same number of clean ones right back in the bag) and any dirty
  • Thank you for everyone's responses. We use an at-home daycare and I guess I'm just hesitant to load up her house with all of my baby's clutter. I keep 10 diapers in my bag for the same reason I pack 3 bottles for a run to Walgreens... just in case we g
