OK, so R climbed INTO his crib twice today. Not at nap or bedtime, just randomly. I was getting H into her carseat this morning, R was going on about getting his pillow out of the crib, I kept telling him "No, we don't bring the pillow to DC." So as I'm getting stuff ready to go, I notice it's awfully quiet. I ask R where he is, no response. I go to his room, and yep, he's in the crib! WTF?
I forgot to tell SO about it during our daily txt exchange b/c I was rushed this morning and busy at work, so when I get home tonight he says "Guess who climbed into the crib?"
So, has anyone else dealt with this? Did it quickly lead to climbing OUT? Because so far he's shown no interest in that...the kid loves his sleep and we have to drag him out of bed in the morning, and even sometimes from naps! I'm just not ready to do the transition to a toddler bed yet...

Uh oh...I think I see a toddler bed in Rs near future.
We switched G to a double bed around 18 or 19 months. He wasn't climbing in or out of his crib and slept just find in it but we just thought we'd try to transition before B came.

I'm going to dissent here... Even if he can climb in (and out can't be far behind), there is no real reason to switch him to a toddler bed until he's ready. He's unlikely to hurt himself climbing out, if he does try it.
