Bottles?

My LO is starting to reject his Playtex bottles (if that's possible) unless he's just absolutely starving. He will just play with the nipple or straight up refuse it- We started using these because he was spitting up on the Dr. Browns bottles I kept from DD. He did ok from week 1-4, but in the last week he's started showing issues. I have tried other bottles, he doesn't like Similac because the nipple is too hard, and he spits up on the Avent bottles pretty bad, we have also tried the MAM bottles.

I tried the Dr. Browns again today thinking that the reason he spit up when he was 1 week was because he was just learning to drink from a bottle, but today (at 5 weeks) it was the same thing.

I thought maybe going up a nipple size but that seems pretty drastic since they say 3m+.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

  • Same thing here! I find its almost like breastfeeding with the playtex  - he has to get a good latch on the bottle.

I am trying to continue with the Playtex because he eats slower with them, and is less fussy.

  • So I tried the medium flow nipples yesterday and it was great, no issues eating and he seemed super content, until I ended up wearing all 4oz of formula. Needless to say I don't think he's ready for the medium flow nipples...
