super dry skin, Lotion recs?

My poor little man has super dry skin on his face.  We lube him up as best we can.

Aveno doesn't touch it.  Currently we are using Aubry Organic's Baby lotion and that seems to at least be helping but it's SO slow to heal.  At least the redness is reduced.

DH is randomly at the Docs office (we all see same doc) so he's gonna ask about recs for something stronger.

But moms...can I get your recs?  My friends have said aquaphor but LO is in the "rub everything on my face" stage.  I'm so afraid he'll get it in his eyes, not to mention mommy was covered in aquafor after I put him to bed the other night.

    My DS had extremely dry skin on his face, to the point that I think it may be eczema.  We tried everything!! But the only lotion that cleared it right up was Aveeno Eczema cream.  You cannot even see where the dry skin was, that's how well it

    I definitely second the Aveno lotion specifically for eczema. Cetaphil also works well for my daughters.

    Cetaphil is amazing. My son gets super dry patches on his skin and the cetaphil clears it up after a few applications!!

    Coconut oil has worked for my LO. She had red, raised dry patches on her forehead that were peeling. I've been putting it on 2-3 times a day for a couple days and they're still rough, but normal colour and no more peeling. They look almost healed.

    hrmmm I actually have coconut oil in the house already.  I was just reading a blog post about the wonders of uses for Coconut oil!

    but thanks for the cetaphil rec, and I will keep the aveno eczema in mind.

    Coconut oil is the only thing I use on DDs face.
