New ASD character - Hannibal

We watched the new tv show Hannibal last night. The main character gets talks about how he doesn't do social situations. Then someone asks him "So just where do you fall on the spectrum?" to which he says "I am closer to the Asperger/autism end".

Did anyone watch? What did you think? Another super sexy brilliant AS character on tv. Do you think this helps to have more characters with ASD on tv? I wish they would show the realistic side lol!

    I don't watch this show but was "Hannibal" the one who said this?  If so, I don't know how I feel about having the monster Hannibal be on the spectrum.  I would think this would cast a scarier light on something that need not be scary.

    Whoa, I freaked when I read this post, not having seen the show. A google search revealed it's the good-guy, FBI agent who says he has Asperger's, not Hannibal Lecter (right?!). That's a relief! I still can't comment about the portrayal, though I may watc

    Since I am married to an AS guy I like to critique the more romantic lead characters lol. This particular character is the good guy profiler. Sometimes I just wish they showed reality. Like when the super sexy character says to his girlfriend "You know

    Anyone watching "World of Jenks" on MTV? One of the people he is following has Autism. It is a pretty good show.
