DH and I have an opportunity to go to Hawaii this summer, with Connor too of course. I?m not sure I want to go. Is that crazy?
We?ve gone to Hawaii before we had Connor and we when surfing, horseback riding, zip lining and had a blast. I just worry that if we take Connor, we can?t do any of those activities and I?ll spend the week chasing him around putting sun screen on him and trying to get him to sleep in an unfamiliar place and not cause a scene in restaurants.
Am I being a "negative Nancy" or should we pick a more toddler friendly vacation?

Yup. I agree with PP. You're crazy for not going. Sure you won't be able to do the same things you've done before, but I don't think there is such a thing as a "toddler-friendly vacation." A beach and a pool are a TON of fun for

Just to give a fuller picture, Connor still takes two naps and I'm in no hurry to stop that and he is a grouch when its too hot. Connor isn't walking yet, and I hope he will be by summer time, but there are no guarentees and carrying him, he's 25lbs+,
I felt the same way when we took DD when she was 10 months old to San Francisco. We really enjoyed our time there, but if we go on another vacation, I will probably arrange to leave DD at home.
