Spring time GTKY - Gardening

I'm excited for spring and starting to think about gardening plans Big Smile

If you mainly plant flowers.....

What types do you plant, what are your favorites? 

Do you stick to any particular color schemes?

If you have a veggie garden......

Do you start your own seeds early, or buy seedlings already started when you are ready to plant?

How big is your gardening space?

What veggies do you normally grow?

 Any plans to branch out into "unknown" gardening territory this year?

Is gardening your project, DH's project, or something the two of you enjoy together?

    Veggie garden.

    Tomatoes, cucumber, onions and peppers usually.

    I'd like to branch out with fruit. We've done cantaloupe once and that was okay. I'd like to do either watermelon or strawberries. Watermelon takes A LONG time to gro

    We have flower gardens in the front of our house and a greenhouse/veggie garden in the back.

    Flowers I buy already started.  I tried seeds before and they didn't take.

    My mother passed on her black thumb to me. I can't even keep a potted plant alive. It's a real problem. I killed our "love fern" in about 2 weeks. Oops.
