Prenatal ewww

So i ran out of the chewable prenatals i was taking, and i started using these samples i had been given of Similac Prenatals, which involves taking two pills, one that has all the basic vitamins, and the a seperate pill that has DHA and Omega 3 in it. My previous chewables also had both of these in them. Anyway,. this is the forth day i have taken these, and all of the sudden i started burping up this HORRIBLE fish taste that will not go away not matter what i eat or drink! I do not like fish, and i especially do nto like this taste! How terrible, these pills ( i am assuming are what it's coming from) make me want to barf. Thank god i am not suffering from any morning sickness, i couldn't imagine how bad it would be if i were. Is anyone else taking these and having this issue? Thank god they were a free sample, because i will not be buying them!

    I made sure to get a pre-natal DHA that was plant-based - no fishy burps!  (Off-brand of Expecta)

    Yuck, sorry this is happening to you, I think I'd puke for sure.

    Lower quality fish oils will give you fishy burps more than high quality.

    I use Nordic Naturals strawberry (and have used the unflavored ones) and have never had any fishy burp/taste issues.

    My rx last pregnancy was like that, switched to generic and never had it again.

    I take nordic naturals fish oil, too (unflavored, in capsules) and have never had a problem (though traditional prenatals make me puke).  I've heard that it tends to be from lower quality or possibly old (rancid) fish oil.  I would steer clear o
