Kids in hotels?

DD has not been overnight in a hotel before. 

My grandparents said they may want to come get us this afternoon, to spend the night with them in the hotel. Sure, sounds fun. 

But I got to thinking... 

How do you get a kid to sleep, and to stay asleep, in a hotel? P puts herself to sleep at night in her crib. She has fallen asleep on her own since about 13 months.

  • Both times did not go well for us. Every kid is different, I'd try it if I were you. You never know.

  • Haven't had to do it in a while, but I ditto most of what Mrs Skull said. Put the PnP in a secluded part of the room (closet, kitchen area if there is one) and stick to your regular bedtime routine as much as you can.
