DD has not been overnight in a hotel before.
My grandparents said they may want to come get us this afternoon, to spend the night with them in the hotel. Sure, sounds fun.
But I got to thinking...
How do you get a kid to sleep, and to stay asleep, in a hotel? P puts herself to sleep at night in her crib. She has fallen asleep on her own since about 13 months.

We usually just end up co-sleeping when we are out of town, which isn't all that often. We try the PnP every time we travel, and while I could get her to go down in it when she was younger, she never stayed in it all night. And now...there'
Haven't had to do it in a while, but I ditto most of what Mrs Skull said. Put the PnP in a secluded part of the room (closet, kitchen area if there is one) and stick to your regular bedtime routine as much as you can.
