Baby names need opinion

Not sure what I'm having yet but for a boy I like Abel my husband thinks he will end up getting made fun of. If anyone wants to leave there opinion it would be great!!!!

Abel isn't a name i would use, but it's def not a name I would make fun of! I think it's classic and underused. A good solid name

Why does your hub not like it? Does he give a reason?

I agree that Abel doesn't strike me as a particularly tease-worthy name. I suppose it sounds like "able," but that's sort of a positive word.

Is he worried that it will sound unusual? He may not realize that it's reasonably popular ? ranked #237

He says the kids will call him disabled getting it from Abel. I love it though!!

I like it a lot and would never have made that connection. seriously, any idiot bully kid can make up a nickname out of something.

I love the name Abel and would use it if I could get DH on board. He associates it with Sons of Anarchy, and since we are fans of the show, he thinks it would be odd for us to use it!
