Breakfast / Diet / My Fitness Pal Questions

So, I had been going WW and have lost 38 lbs.  I hit a plateau and the past couple of months I have been not really following a diet plan or exercising.  I have managed to gain about 5 lbs back.  No biggie really, just want to get back on track.  So, I decided to start using My Fitness Pal.

So, my main issue is breakfast.  On days I work, I am up at 4am and eat once I get to work 5:45am.  I normally have cereal or an english muffin with fruit, but I am still hungry after this.  I normally eat lunch at 11am, some days I am staring at the clock by 10am counting down until 11am.

Anyways, I need some suggestions on what to fill me up a little better for breakfast, but not be full of calories, since this is what My Fitness Pal watches.  Or a suggestion of a small snack sometime in the middle maybe around 8:30/9 that will help hold me over.  TIA!

  • What about some sort of smoothie?  That's my current go-to.  There are a million recipes out there, and it's easy to hide veggies.  I make one now that has kale, spinach, banana, green apple, and pineapple juice.  I'm going to start ad

  • You could hard boil eggs the night before and eat 2 or 3 egg whites with your breakfast.

    Greek yogurt is filling.

Oatmeal fills me better than regular cereal.

I use MFP, and I really have good luck with making the 'Healthy 3 Ingredient Cookies' from SkinnyTaste.  I add Peanut Butter to mine, which ups the calories a little, but they keep me feeling full.  I usually make a batch

  • Sounds like you need some protein with breakfast.

The smoothie is a good idea.

Also, you can make ahead a batch of eggs and reheat in the AM. I love scrambling eggs, peppers, and onions seasoned with a bit of salt, pepper and cumin. Then re

  • Smoothies are a great snack, but will not leave you full for long since they don't take any time to digest.

I would DIE if I had that much time between meals

  • I second adding some protein peanut butter on the English muffin would be easiest, and the egg muffins someone mentioned are really good and easy!

  • Calculate the points for things you put in your smoothie individually.

My morning smoothie is usually 1/2 c. Frozen sliced peaches, 1/2 c. Frozen mango, handful of spinach, and raspberry yogurt. Add ice. Yum. I also think I've seen smooth

  • I'm not a fitness expert but why are you not eating a snack in between meals?

    I eat 5 times a day.

Oatmeal is a great option for breakfast.

I usually eat a snack around 9:30 am....a small greek yogurt or an apple with pea
