Angel Care

I'm a little more than paranoid about SIDS and it doesn't help that friend just experienced this tragedy. Would anyone recommend getting the Angel Care monitor? Is this going to make my anxiety worse? Also, she sleeps in a Rock and Play beside my bed. Will it even work in that? I seriously just want to old my eyelids open and stare at her every second she sleeps but obviously that will only work for so long.

We set the Angel Care up in a bassinet next to our bed... it was terrific.  I don't know how I would have slept without it!  Well, ok I would have passed out from sheer exhaustion sooner or later, but it definitely helped ease my mind.  Sti

  • I purchased one almost 3 years ago. We had constant false alarms. The alarm would go off 3 or 4 times a night when our little man was breathing just fine. The instructions say to put a board under the crib mattress and put the sensor on that, so I'm not s
  • We use the Snuza and love it!  We have never had a false alarm, it travels easily and we have been able to use it in the RNP and now the crib.  I highly recommend it.

  • We are going to get the Snuza. Baby bargains gave the angel care one an F. I like that the snuza will work longer bc once they start rolling they may roll off the mat.

  • After reading Baby Bargains' review, we've decided against it. I don't think it'll work with a RNP -- it needs to be used with a flat bed surface.

  • I absolutely LOVE our Angelcare monitor.  It has never once given us a false alarm in the almost two years it's been in use, and the sound on it is great.  We got the Deluxe Plus model with the double sensor pads and I think that makes all th

  • Don't think it will work in the RnP.  We also used the clip-on Snuza go.  It's portable so you can use it when traveling or in a daycare situation.

  • It won't work in the RNP, it has to be a flat surface. After thinking they were a waste of money before DD arrived, we purchased one when she was about 2 weeks old because DH was constantly poking her in the middle of the night to make sure she was sti

  • I absolutely love our angelcare monitors.  It definitely gives us peace of mind and the couple of times we've had false alarms it was because our babies rolled to the extreme edge of the crib.  We have very mobile sleepers so I wasn't sure how w
  • At some point your child will out grow the Rock and Play and you'll need to have a monitor.  I have an Angel Care and like it a lot.  We do get false alarms from time to time but my son is usually on the very top or bottom of the crib mattres
