background: Our whole house was sick this weekend, I still went to work on Saturday and DH still did his dadddy time with the boys while i worked. Then last night DH hung out late with his sister and BIL, while I finished homework and went to bed. Fast forward to this morning, I'm Exhausted, DS2 kept waking up last night, one of the cats walked on my head around 1am which clearly woke me up, our dog wanted to pee at 4 am, it was restless. Im leaving for work I can't find my keys, DH and I switched cars this weekend for a few reasons, he put them in an odd spot, so I called him to see where the hell they were..he proceeds to tell me he is likely going to miss his normal train and be home late because he got a free ticket to the red sox home opener. I tell him of course go, a free ticket thats great..But here I am sick as dog, headed home to be on duty after work all alone with the kids who are still cranky and sick. I just want a nap.
Side note: I get one of these pleas every other week for DH going to a sudden sporting event, red sox, bruins, celtics, patriots, etc. Someone always has tickets and because he works in Boston everyday he feels the need to be the go to guy for people wanting to go out to games. Which is great for his love of sports, annoying for our family. I never just call him and say by the way I'm not coming home from work on time you better leave early to be with the kids. Oh the luxuries of being the husband/dad.
