Anyone have a small car?

Our Honda Odyssey is on the fritz and we're going to drive to Chicago for a few days later this week with the twins (5 hour drive - yikes!). So we'll probably need to rent a car. I'm wondering how small a car we can get, since we're trying to save $$$. Anyone have a compact (like a Toyota Yaris)? Or do we need a station wagon/minivan so the twin stroller will fit in the trunk? Plus luggage..

  • We have a Honda Fit and a Volkswagon Gulf. Carseats are no trouble (unless the driver is tall. That's what saves us from needing to upgrade our cars!). It would depend on how much luggage you'll be bringing. You could squeeze a bag or two in the back seat

  • Sounds like a compact is out. Thanks ladies! DH and I are both pretty tall so I'll see if we can get a station wagon or something..
