VBAC

2nd vbac

If you have attempted a 2nd vbac, did you have the same restrictions?

Re: 2nd vbac

  • Last I checked, it was still "once a VBAC, always a VBAC."  But, I think people will give you a little more credit if you've done it before.  So, at least they won't give you that pathetic "oh, you're a trial of labor".

  • I just had this conversation w the mw at my OB office.

Interestingly, she took the more conservative view, saying they have to do another u/s at 36 weeks to see the thickness of my lower uterus, and won't want to induce, or go

  • I'm planning for my 2nd, and the one OB I asked said it was the same restrictions as my first.  I didn't specifically ask about the epi requirement, but I was able to go without that with my first, I'm going to try to go without that again.
