any good books for explaining DS

my sister in law has a brother in law who had DS and my oldest starting asking some simple questions the last time we saw him. He was curiuos why he talked differently. Although we dont see her side of the family often, as my son gets older he will notice more and more. DO you know if a good book to explain it to him at his level. I know there is one for autism-- Ian's walk.... I thought that might be a good way to explain how everyone is a little different and we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

Re: any good books for explaining DS

  • I've heard Paint the Octopus Red is really good! We've not done anything "formal" with explaining to our son that baby sis has Down syndrome, we've just mentioned it and he either doesn't get it, doesn't care or a little of both. We'll probably read a boo
