I'm just curious. Has anyone here tried BLW and decided it wasn't for them? We've been at it for about a week and I think I'm going to throw in the towel. I read the book and prepared and everything, but my LO gags multiple times after each and every bite, no matter what the food. He is gagging, not choking, so it's not a safety concern. Jut comfort. Would I want to gag through 75 percent of each meal? No. I think that would be awful, so I'm not sure I feel right forcing it on LO. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what you did. Thanks!

Re: Anyone quit BLW?
I haven't tried BLW but I know that my lo gags if there is a clump of fruit in her purree so BLW wouldn't be for us. Do what you are comfortable with!
Honestly keep trying! I know it's not nice to see your baby gah so much but they do need to learn.
Personally we do one day of spoon fed pur?e and then the next day of BLW.

I don't do BLW. Do what you are comfortable with. For James, we did purees first then introduced finger foods, slowly. We worked our way up to meals. By 10mo, he was eating what we were eating for dinner. This progression worked well for him and he nev
I'm a total lurker here, but I wanted to respond. We started BLW when DS turned 6 months and he was also a total gagger, on everything. We had one moment where he really seemed to be choking (face turned red, making no sound, panicky look o
We are doing a bit of BLW and a bit of purees. Marian has taken very well to BLW and hasn't gagged hardly at all. The first time she did, I freaked out and wanted to quit. I kept at it and we have found our groove.
