Losing Iep

I'm probably putting the cart way before the horse here but I want to make sure I'm doing the right things.

my son has an iep for an artic delay. He was in ei for a year and a half prior for language delays/sensory processing issues. His speech is progressing really quickly and his therapist suspects he will be done with speech by his fourth bday and will recommend a decrease in services when the new school year starts.

im really nervous about this. At this point I have no concerns developmentally-his preschool teachers report he is bright, has a good attention span, and interacts well with his peers. However, I had a neurological disorder as a kid so I know he is at heightened risk. I know his teachers at school will report any abnormal behavior and I will get him evaluated yearly through child outreach to make sure he's developing typically. However, I know that kids who are bright can develop coping strategies to mask their weaknesses- my therapists daughter recently got diagnosed with ADHD/a reading disability as a college freshman. I'd hope to catch something sooner than later if its there.

any words of wisdom of what I can do to be extra vigilant?
