Im a little envious of you first time mamas because you get to have an ultrasound around 10 weeks. Being a second time mama i gotta wait till 18 to 20 weeks to see my seamonkey. I am happy tho for all of you! I know its scary ladies but try to breathe, relax and enjoy this pregnancy! You only get to have a first pregnancy once! So take it all in! Hugs!

Is it fairly standard in the US for 1st time mother's to get an early u/s? My dr doesn't do one until 20 weeks even though I've had 2 previous m/c. Fairly standard in Canada. I'm going to an elective u/s place and paying $$ to get one ne

My doctor's office does a standard ultrasound between 8 to 12 weeks regardless of what number pregnancy you're on. But I am a FTM.

I'm having mine on Friday and I'm so excited.

I am a STM and my first U/S is today. I am only 8 weeks 4 days. I think it depends on your doctor's policies, not a standard for FTM vs. STM.

Second time mom here and my first ultrasound is this Wednesday. I actually asked the receptionist to move it later in the month since I ovulated late this cycle but she wanted to schedule it based on my LMP.

So funny what a difference
