my 9 month old goes to bed btwn 8:30-9pm sleeps until 8-9am(doesn't wake up through the night unless his teeth bother him)
wakes up- plays for 1 to 3 hours and naps 2-2 1/2 hours (sometimes 3hours) wakes up plays for another 1 to 2 hours naps again for another 2hr-2 1/2hours and sometimes will need a 3rd small nap (usually 1hr) before bed -- is that too much sleeping?
i get worried about it.

have you talked to his pediatrician about it? do they seem concerned about it?
That could be the case and I am sure it is normal. Maybe it's just you have a really good sleeper on your hands? I mean my DD doesn't take very long naps but sleeps all night and she is almost 8 months old and she always slept really good from when she
