Utensils

A baby development book I was recently reading mentioned having LOs start feeding themselves with utensils around this 10 months. It seems awfully early to me, but I was wondering if anyone else has started. I can give DS a spoon loaded with food, and it makes it to his mouth now, but he has no concept of how to dip the food out of a bowl on his own. I don't think he has the coordination for that yet.

    I don't think my son was really using a spoon correctly until about 15months and about 18months for a fork.  I wouldn't worry about it at 10 months at all!
