Parenting after a Loss

healthy living check-in *updated*

good morning everyone! hope you enjoyed your weekend!

i decided for this healthy living check-in we can post our goals here on Monday and check in again on Friday to see how things are going.

What are your health goals for this week?

QOTD: what are the long term health goals you are working towards?

see you all Friday! Big Smile

Edit to add:

Sorry things turned into a post and run this morning. Today turned out to be a full day. I read through all your goals and all of you have inspired me to be more healthy!

Atteighdan- Good luck with the weight watchers. I know a lot of people who it has worked well for. My MIL lost 150 pounds not specifically doing weight watchers but by counting calories wich is similar.

Ladiebug71- I too need to refocus on clean eating and also more homemade meals. Since the baby has come I have relied a lot more on pre packaged food wich is both expensive and makes me feel not so good!

NBBride05- You must be very ambitious to be walking 3 weeks post c-section. I am 31/2 weeks post c-section and after I clean the house, take of the baby and make my husband a meal, I am pooped! Where do you find the energy!?

pangn179- I really don't eat enough veggies, one of these weeks that will be my goal to eat more. Also, what is spin class?

dotmbc- baby steps are the way to go! And boxing sounds like great stress relief lol!

Allycat11- happy birthday!

shell04178- good for you for making your health a priority!

melly918- I agree, I can't wait to say good bye to my maternity clothes for a while! In the mean time I am wearing elastic waisted "flowy" skirts.

bumgellica-  Do you like to grill? Fried food is a big temptation to me too but I find grilling outdoors gives both meat and veggies a really nice flavor without being fried.

This week I want to focus on clean eating.  I really rely too much on processed convenience foods instead of healthy fresh fruits and veggies.  I also drink way too much diet soda, so my plan is to limit to

Do 20 minutes on the elliptical today. It's the first time I've been on it since last fall when I was pregnant. I like the backward rotation as it seems to relieve the pain in my pelvis

  • Blessed- spin class is a group stationary biking class. Its high intensity and can be done in the dark with loud music. Its a lot of fun, you should give it a try. You might have heard people call it "spinning".
