Hospital of Central CT

Any mom's with recent birthing experiences here? I heard the nursery has been taken away and the baby will remain in the room with you ... any issues with that?

Have anyone taken a tour of the maternity ward? I am not sure how to arrange that.

 

Any info is appreciated :)

    I delivered at Yale and they gave the same no nursery issue. It exists but they won't take the baby overnight. I had a c section so I would have liked to send DD there.

    I delivered DD2 there in 2009, but I was still able to send her to the nursey at night. I had a great experience both times except for one particular nurse...and I requested that someone else take care of me.

     

    your doctor should have a schedule of tours and classes, but if you call the main hospital number they will transfer you to the correct place.

    We had the best experience. Yes the Baby stays with you from the moment you deliver until you leave except for Bloodwork and hearing test. We took the class which included the tour. The staff was so nice and very accommodating. My dd is 4.5 months
