6mo still waking up at night! help!!

my 6 mo old still wakes up at least once a night, sometimes 3. What should I do? i have tired rice cereal before bed and she still wake up to feed at least twice.

It's possible baby is hungry or it's possible baby is waking out of habit and eating offers comfort. How much is baby eating in the MOTN? You could try to do one feeding sort of MOTN (literally) and see if other comfort measures help the other wake-ups. H

Waking up at night usually is more about brain than belly...if not teething or some other issue. But, that doesn't mean she couldn't be eating out of habit. If you want to night wean, try slowly reducing her feeding amounts by oz, or minutes if you bf.

We sleep trained at the suggestion of our doctor. Used the Ferber method. It took 2 nights and she was sleeping 11 hours straight. If you want, try a sleep training book of you choice and stick to it.
